Honest question, no troll. Isn't that on us and not them? Does anyone truly think that if we could detect what any other team was throwing, we wouldn't make our guys aware to try to give us an advantage? I find it hard to believe we wouldn't. Again, isn't that one us to prevent them from doing it? I used to bat boy for the American Legion summer baseball team 40 years ago. I remember one game in particular where our base coach knew before nearly every pitch if it was a breaking ball or a fastball by the way the pitcher was holding the ball. He would make our batters aware by yelling out their first name for a fastball or their last name / nickname on a breaking ball. Have seen several on here criticize Bama for doing it, so truly curious.
I see it in football and basketball all the time, where the defense knows a specific play as soon as it's called. Why is it different in baseball? Again, not trolling. Would love @Ben_McKee opinion as well.
