Butch Jones has been here 5 years and there is no disputing that he has done a much better job than Dooley. He has recruited at a high level which is why most of the criticism on him is valid. There are some people, not just on this board, that think people are being unfair to him. I ask those people why? We have watched him get out coached MANY times since he's been here and 80-90% of those times we are the more talented teams. Games against Alabama and Oklahoma you could argue have had the better rosters each time we played them. I would also throw Missouri in there from 2014 as that was a really good team. Now on to yesterday's lovely game. If you can defend Butch Jones after yesterday then you are really reaching. This was the worse Florida team that we have seen in a very long time. They were without two of their best playmakers in Calloway and Scarlett. This game kind of reminded me of the one in 2014 where we couldn't score a TD in the red zone to save our lives. Here are some points:

1.) Offensive Play Calling- QD never really found rhythm in this game. He made some good throws at times but he still throwing the ball off his back foot. He was also very lucky he didn't throw a pick towards the end of the game. Which brings deserved criticism to the play calling. You have a RB in John Kelly that is the teams work horse and you give him the ball ZERO times. We had the ball inside their 20 thirteen times and Kelly touches the ball ZERO times. Let that sink in for a moment.

2.) Shot gun vs under center- We have been complaining about this for years with Butch Jones offense. At least when we had Dobbs he could use his feet and either run or throw. Guess what Dobbs is in Pittsburg. Florida's D knows that Dormady is not going to run. They were selling out to stop the run and every time he has been pressured this season he makes an erratic throw. The ball was on the 6 in line of the goal line. That should be an easy line up under center and QB sneak. Text book play calling 101.

3.) Managing Kickers- So you bring in Cimaglia and he kicked a beautiful FG 51 yards. Then he misses two, which for a freshman in that environment is tough, and you take him out to put in Medley. Then Medley misses a FG. Now you have two FG kickers that are shaken mentally. I might get criticized here because you might think I am knit picking but you stick with one. Let them get their confidence instead you bench him and go with your senior who misses a 41 or 42 yd FG.

4.) Finally Excuses- Butch loves to throw an excuse in there at some point and yesterday's Post Game PC was no different. You couldn't run dime because of the injuries. Really? What about Wiggins, Shamburger, T. Jackson, Warrior, Abernathy, Martin, Moseley, and Gaulden. I think that is enough to run a dime package and try to keep them from throwing over the top of you and also knowing they needed at least 25 yards for a game winning FG. Instead we are in Nickel and we are completely out of position in the backend and Cleveland gets behind our secondary for the GW TD. You call that defense after a TO?

If you support Butch, I would like to know how after yesterday. We were the better team by at least 2 TD's and we lost because of coaching. Those are the facts and they can't be disputed.
