For the better part of a century Vanderbilt has been the welfare member of the SEC. It has been getting its equal share of conference revenues while choosing to be non-competitive and now spending the tens of million it collects from the conference on woke garbage.

They made a joke out of college football with the novelty female kicker who could not kick.

Their facilities are by far the worst in the conference and likely the worst in Division I and there are no meaningful plans to bring them up to the league standard.

They have a very small fan base and live attendance is sometimes barely in the hundreds.

Overall, they have done nothing to earn the money they receive from the conference.

There was nothing the SEC could really do about it since Vandy was a founding member and kicking them out of the conference would be a PR mess.

However, the Vandy twitter posts over the weekend were classless and deserving of a response.

As a response to the improper twitter posts, the SEC should use the opportunity to terminate Vanderbilt's membership in the conference and replace them with North Carolina.
