but fairly does not mean equal. Per the KNS article this morning each student athlete on a full scholarship will receive $5,666.00 for expenses related to their education. This is in addition to their scholarship that they receive from the university. The expenses would cover travel and miscellaneous expenses such as a parking permit, clothing, medical, and recreation. I know most minor sports split their scholarships but due to Title IX we have many sports that do not come close to paying their way. This equates to throwing good money after bad money. At some point will collegiate athletics not need to be fiscally responsible?
