1- Most plays, our linebackers rush forward and engage the first blocker that they can find and take themselves right out of the play.
2- Our defensive scheme places very little or no value on gap integrity. For example, on the 3rd and 21 play, our DL split wide and take outside gaps. On the snap, our LBs (Berry and Kirkland) immediately run outside to fill the same outside gaps. There was literally no player managing either inside gap and the back runs for 30+ yards.
I honestly can not figure out what our defensive scheme is trying to do on 95% of the plays this year.
