Many years ago, Bill Hullender who started Hullco Windows, and a former Hamilton County Commissioner, had pre season football parties at his farm in Apison, TN. Wiothout fail, several Vols would be in attendance. In August 0f 1994, Peyton Manning showed up and because I was a recruiting junkie, I knew who he was. Otherwise, not many people at the party were familiar with him.
At any rate, me and two buddies were talking to him and there was a pond nearby. We coaxed Peyton into attempting to throw a football over the pond which didn't appear to be that big or it didn't look like it was a long throw. Peyton threw the ball in the middle of the pond.
When he walked away, my friends and I looked at each other and one of us said, "doesn't have much of an arm, does he?".
