As Vols Football Fans, we have endured a lot over the last ~ 14 years. Lousy Administration, poor hiring decisions, miserable coaches, and one embarrassing ( $ Influenced ) decision after another. For the first time over this period, we have a President, Chancellor, and Athletic Director that tell us they are to be trusted and they are on the same page. I do hope that is true. However, I think we should ALL at least " Pause " to see if their Trust has indeed been earned. If Boyd and Plowman have earned our Trust, then AD Danny White will be the right hire. If Danny White is to earn our Trust, then he will have made the right FB Coach hire.
I, like so many others, have been impressed and encouraged, by what I have seen and heard in recent days. I want to believe we are now on a different trajectory. However, my life experiences and judgement over time, tell me to judge and grant my Trust based on their results, not their rhetoric. Don't misunderstand my comments, I am excited and encouraged by what I have heard thus far. However, I prefer to take it with " A grade of slaw " over the longer term. Just my humble opinion and not meat to offend or discourage, in any way.
