I learned years ago from personal experience that once I found that a man was untruthful, that was all I needed to know about him. By adulthood, you no longer grow character. You can't pump it up in the gym. There are no medications that produce it.

Donnie is, in my opinion, a great basketball coach. Dave Hart saw that. But he knew that at Murray State his candidate had been found intentionally to have violated the rules when he was already an man.

I do not want to rely on men who are truthful only from fear of getting caught. The longer these guys go without discovery the more reckless they may become. Then they are prone to foolish acts in fear of discovery. They delete emails. They lie about BBQ's.

I want to surround myself with men who are truthful because that is who they are. They won't erase 17 minutes of tape. The won't lie about inappropriate contact with interns.

Bruce and Donnie: two great talents. Two flawed men.
