AD Ray Tanner has done it again by firing a coach and having no plan in place for the replacement. He has been widely criticized by just about everyone from fans to the press for his incompetence.
So far the chickens have had 6 players enter the portal and it looks like more may join them. New coach Paris will have to go portal. which is how he built the Mocs. His head must be spinning right now as he has lost his new team, has to hire a staff, and is trying to recruit. And recruiting to this place is not that easy.
Add in all the negative publicity of BOT interference in just about everything and this is a university in turmoil. After the embarrassment of the last president and having to call Harris Pastides out of retirement and to steady the ship they are again getting a new leader. Sounds like a UT story.
I saw first hand BOT interference when I denied admission to a grad program at USC by a girl with connections, and dad who had been on the board. She was totally unqualified for the few openings we had every year and we had some top flight candidates. From the dat to the BOT down through the president I was given the word to admit her. Long story short they over road me, admitted her, and she could not cut it and left the program.
