It has now been 47 days since McElwain was hired.

Recruiting sucks...

I am aware that they still might pick up two of the open 5 stars (although Auburn will do whatever it can to pull some of those guys themselves....and you have got to think those two or three will ultimately recognize the total lack of any other momentum around UF, too...maybe like Richmond has at Ole Miss).

But that's not the story...If they don't pick up a commitment this work week (which they don't seem to be hinting is a possibility) then they get to a position where they need over a commitment a day for the entire rest of the signing period to just get to a small, 20 man class.

Even Radio had established more momentum at Vandy by this point last year.

UF had tons of second tier type guys on campus this weekend and didn't secure a single public commitment from anyone the whole time. You think Butch would have ever had that happen to him?

Yes, I think they will eventually get to a 20 man class. and they will probably have five, 4 star or higher guys...but even then you are looking at 2 of those guys being duds (if reality holds) and then a lot of their 2 and 3 stars will be average as well.

With the discipline issues and other attrition (a decent sized senior class just left plus 5 guys to either discipline or early to the NFL since just December) this really needed to be a solid 25 man class for UF, regardless of who was coaching.

Anyone who says we don't walk into the swamp next year with a better roster than UF is confused. You wouldn't even trade our OL group for theirs. Seriously. Look it up... We have much better backs and receivers. Better tight ends. A much better QB. We have better defensive ends and the tackles are comparable, with ours possibly being much better if our freshman are good. We have better DB's and each school has one solid LB returning with some TBD's, but our TBD's are better athletes and we have more of them.

There might still be ghosts or something conspiring against us once the game starts (for some of you) but Butch Jones and Jeremy Foley have flat solved this talent issue for us.

For good measure, their '16 class is weak, too (but yes, not fair to expect much from them there yet)
