Update- Deion just took the #1 player in the country from his alma mater. Wow. Long time commit no less. Norvell has no margin for error at all.
The worst thing for Norvell outside of 2 really poor years is that Deion got into coaching. There is really no way for that to go away for Florida State fans. This would be like Peyton Manning coaching at Kennesaw State and everyone knows he will be getting a big job soon. And a guy you know for a fact would absolutely kill it in recruiting and the portal.
FSU's class last year was ranked #31 overall. This current class is ranked in the Top #15 but not sure it will be able to bear fruit when they get older.
The best thing for Tennessee is to have a strong Miami and FSU.
Cristobal is a great recruiter and built to recruit South Florida. When Deion gets the FSU job he will clean up in Florida as well. This makes it harder on Florida to cherry pick the best while those 2 programs have been down over the last 5-7 years like they have.
Another area this helps is Georgia dipping down into Florida. And all those times that Bama and LSU come in and take the ultra elite talents just because they can lessening ending when Miami and FSU have their swagger back.
By the way Deion was 11-1 this year with his only loss coming by 5 points to an FBS team. I would say every game Deion wins it makes it harder for Norvell.
