I think most of us agree he crushed it with:
1) Rock Gullickson
2) Charlton Warren
3) Brady Hoke
4) Walt Wells
Everyone has raved about Wells recruiting and to me that is #1. His coaching/development can not be worse than Mahoney IMO. He has been praised for helping our young guys.
Jury is still probably out on Canales but we have gathered he is a people person and people do seem to like him. Us just having a QB coach will help greatly.
The way I see it is we have added 3 big time recruiters (Wells, Warren and Hoke) with 2 of which being proven big time position coaches.
Win/Win because Strip will be staying on staff and able to coach and help the coaches. Added an elite recruiter and proven position coach.
This is a great move by Butch IMO.
