Be heard, if this pertains to you...
This past fall, the Alcohol Policy Task Force began the process of reviewing the university’s current alcohol policy.
The Alcohol Policy Task Force was created to examine and provide input on the university’s alcohol policy, with the intention of providing recommendations to improve the alcohol policy in relation to best practices, safety, and the overall campus environment. More information can be found on the Alcohol Policy Task Force website.
As the task force continues its review and research to inform its recommendations, we would like to ask you—members of the university community, neighbors, and stakeholders—to share your thoughts regarding the campus alcohol policy. The task force asks that you share your opinion and feedback on our current policy as well as on potential changes to the policy. We know that many people are impacted by this policy, and it is vital to this process that all members of the community who have ideas, thoughts, and concerns are able to share them with the task force.
We hope all members of the University community will participate in order to assist the task force in understanding the different perspectives on this important matter.
Please also know that any recommendations made will put the safety and well-being of our students at the forefront, and that the university’s alcohol policy will always remain in compliance with federal, state, and local laws that govern the possession, consumption, and sale of alcohol.
Provide your input by taking our survey. The survey should take five to 10 minutes. We also ask that you share the feedback link and survey with any member of the community who would like to provide input. The link in this email can be used by anyone who wishes to provide input. The form will be open until Friday, February 16.
If you have questions or concerns, visit the Alcohol Policy Task Force website or send us an email.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this process. We will provide further updates after the feedback period ends and the task force has had the opportunity to review the data and prepare its recommendations accordingly.
Sincerely,
Bart Graham ’82, '84, Chair
