Hardin Valley
Conner Creek has flooded 5 out of the 18 years that I have lived in Hardin Valley. The Southeast corner of the proposed Hardin Valley Middle School, the parking lot and entrance and exit roads are being built in a Flood Plain. As per Geologic flood plain map. The problem is a portion of the land being used is considered WETLANDS. The Knox County Schools is having to build a water retaining basin that will be in the flood plain and after seeing flooding in the past there will be ecosystem contamination into Conner Creek and these WETLANDS with one flood.

Knox County Schools is trying to cover this problem up. This is a violation of EPA rules and laws. Who will pay for destruction of bridges, roads and the school building itself when a flood comes and it will? You and I will pay for it in with increased taxes and the health of our children with be affected by mold and water into the school building itself.
