My Son Shot His First Deer... Now, it was a Doe (Had a Doe Tag), but it was his first!
They said it was just over 135 lbs, and small...but to see his face light up after I got out of church was unreal! No, I don't allow my family to miss church for stuff like this, but he was staying with his Grand Parents, and His Grand Father bought the tag.
He's done something I've never done, and won't do...
1) I don't eat deer, so I'm not killing one.
2) I don't hunt/fish hate it lol...but, thankful that those who do it-enjoy it. He loves to do both, and is getting good at it.
Last night he shot a 175 lb boar hog, but had to throw it away because we had to get a dog to track it down and it was dead for about 2 1/2 hours until I could get a dog to him from a young man in our church. I don't hunt but I'm a proud papa tonight that my son has FINALLY shot his first deer after three years of hunting!
