Headed to the swamp, UT is not been given much chance of winning this game and honestly I understand why given the history. However, anything can happen on any given Saturday and I would like to share my thoughts on things that are key to that victory. I would like to give 5 offensive and 5 defensive keys to a possible upset of the Gators on Saturday night.

Let's start with the Defense

1. Stack the box and make Florida throw the ball to beat you, play a lot of 5 man fronts and rotate those Dline to be fresh in 4th Qtr.

2. Young and Baron need to attack the back shoulder of the QB on passes and not lose containment. It absolutely tears me up as an old coach to see DEs attack the QB center mass, only to have them roll out of the tackle to get out of the pocket. This goes for whoever is at DE......set the edge and keep outside leverage!!!!!

3. Flowers and McCullough have to stay discipline, Mullen loves to get safeties creeping down and then throw that deep middle pass with the slot over their heads if they get caught looking in the backfield.

4. ATTACK their offense, be aggressive and send multiple blitzes from multiple places, especially from the secondary. Jones is turnover prone, so maybe we send a corner blitz and get a cheapy by rolling a safety over and Jones not seeing it and throws UT the ball.

5. The last one is very simple....Don't miss tackles and rally to the ball with 11 angry Orange hornets.

Now to the Offense

1. ZERO turnovers, yep that simple, protect the ball!!!

2. Florida loves to get the cheap QB sack fumbles with Grantham overload blitz packages to the slot side and by getting that pressure in the face of the QB forcing them into hot throws to the slot, only not to recognize the backside LB has rolled over to make a play on the ball. UT needs to throw into this pressure by leaking the backs out in the flats bc florida will be in man coverage and take advantage of this weakness in the coverage.

3. The OLine needs to have their best game by picking up the twists of the DLine mixed with blitzing backers or nickle. It will be paramount for Carvin and Spraggins to pick up those twists and inside pressures. The TEs will also need to help chip the outside rushers before leaking out in their routes and obviously the backs have to pick up the free blitzer.

4. Throw the double move routes, ( slug goes, out and ups ) Florida's DBs are aggressive and subject to bite and if we can connect on the deep throws this could be a huge difference maker. throw a few quick screens to the outside receiver, then fake it and release the would be blocker like Tillman on a go route for a big play when the florida safety crashes to force the would be screen throw.

5. Run the ball off tackle on outside zone plays and allow Small and Evans to find those cutback lanes when Florida's LBs over pursue.

Xtra point.....just play to win for 60 minutes and give the Gators heck!!!! Go Vols!
