Assuming he and Texas do part ways, he would bring credibility and stability that we desperately need. Is he the best tactician? Probably not, but, other than coach K and Izzo, who else is elite? I am more interested right now in getting good players and stabilizing this train wreck. Put elite recruiters around him and it could be a great situation; very similar to Howland hire at Miss St...proven head coach with elite recruiting staff (watch out for State). I like the thought of going to battle against Calipari, Donovan, Howland,Pearl etc.with an experienced coach. I am 65,so, his age doesn't concern me. I also like the fact that he has already coached in the south and in two of the best bball conferences in the country; growing up three hours from Knoxville and having a wife that graduated from TN is a bonus also. Thoughts?
