I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday so far. The talk here in Memphis is that Emoni Bates and Jalen Duran could be coming to Memphis. They are the #1 and #2 players in the class of 2022, but they would reclassify and play at Memphis this season. They are weighing their options between the G-League, Miami, and Memphis. In the new world of NIL, I wouldn’t be surprised if the boosters for Memphis at FedEx, Autozone, etc. make sure they have enough money lined up to “persuade” them to pick Memphis. It would set up for quite a matchup between Coach Barnes and the Vols in Nashville in December.
