They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. And everyone is always wanting to make piles. My pastor preached about contentment this week and it’s always not having more. Alex is in the bottom right of this photo, and he happens to be autistic which is kinda of like hunting with a mild Rain man. He was a blast. He has hunted 3 years and wanted to kill a male mallard greenhead. Not a limit of mallards, a male mallard greenhead. Well at about 10 God delivered that wish on a string. A perfect single greenhead right in front of him. Celebrated for 15 mins and then we ask him what ya want now?? He replied I want a white snow goose next!! I sigh because they can be really really hard to decoy. Within 30 minutes I look down the levy and here comes a single snow goose on a line just like God put him there just for Alex. Closer and you can hear Alex’s deep voice he’s coming , he’s coming. 80 yards, 70yards, 40, 30, 20….okay Alex he is all yours. Boom boom boom boom boom boom and down comes the goose. Celebrations again. This is the best hunt ever!!! I got my male mallard greenhead duck and a white snow goose. Later his brother said I will hear about this everyday for the next 5 years. Thank you for making this hunt so special for him. Thank you God for answered prayers and a example of a living example of contentment.
Never gets old seeing someone so innocent and humble enjoy things I take for granted at times.
