I am upset as much as anyone at the missed opportunity. Y'all know I preach on opportunities and seizing them and all that stuff. But we're still where we need to be. Have to reset mentally and move on to Kentucky. I think this team will do that. Very interested in the OL's response; JG's response; and what Chaney does in terms of an offensive identity.

I've been thinking for a minute that UT ought to adopt the offensive strategy that the Saints use. I think you have (relatively, of course) similar personnel and capabilities at this stage in Brees's career (relatively, again; not saying JG is Brees; please god don't take it there) and with Saints WR corps. But how they scheme Kamara open and use him should give Chaney some ideas. Same with T. Hill; though I'd see if Holiday can be another wrinkle for you; we've forgotten about him and many other potential young playmakers. I think there are many ideas to consider and borrow there for Chaney.

Defense will be fine and will get better, but the Offense needs a 7-game identity prior to the changing of the guard to finish strong. I'd like to see us be a little more spread out, motion game with the RBs to play to our strengths. With Eric Gray and Ty Chandler, I'm not sure any LB other than the top LBs in the country can handle them 1-on-1, and if our run game is struggling, a 4-6 yard dump off to an RB is just as good.

We need to motion V. Jones, Gray and Chandler more across the formation to affect coverages and give JG easier reads. He is what he is until he's no longer here folks, have to buckle up. No messiah has emerged yet.

Just some thoughts
