Just shut up about the opener being moved. Butch gets 2 extra days of rest and prep for Va Tech and gets a night game. Are y'all the same people complaining about the noon starts? I remember BEGGING for a Thursday night game when I was a student so if you think this is going to hurt the atmosphere then think again - the students will go nuts for this. Home opener on a Thursday night is going to draw a lot more interest then a Saturday game at noon getting blasted by the sun. And some of y'all don't think other fans will tune in? Do you remember what the first weekend of college football is like after months and months of wishing it would start? I would watch TN Tech vs TN School of the Blind as long as I am watching football that week.
I can think of a lot more positives than negatives to this move, so if your only complaint is that you can't make it to the game then I think we will be alright.
