I truly believe that winning the SEC East is being way overvalued by most of you. The past 7 SEC Championships have been shared between Florida, Georgia, Mizzou, and South Carolina. 3 of those 4 schools have 1st year head coaches.
This tells me that winning the East isn't the "shot in the arm" that many are making it out to be... particularly when the prize is playing this year's Alabama.
Going 10-3 and winning the Sugar Bowl would do much more for Tennesssee than winning the East, IMHO. (No guarantee we do either, I get that).
For the "Butch Sucks" crowd, have you forgotten 5-7?
We should finish the regular season 9-3. Is this a disappointing year? Yes.
Do we need to improve in a number of areas? Yes.
Has Butch earned the right to fix it? Yes.
