Leaving first thing tomorrow morning. Took me most of the day to batten down all hatches. I live on a barrier island, my house is 100 yards from the Cape Fear (Atlantic Ocean) area of NC. I made the bad mistake of trying to sit a hurricane out one time. Never again, this one looks bad. If for some reason any of you are very close to the ocean like me, take my advice and get out. I truly thought I had punched my ticket when I foolishly thought I would see what it was like to ride one out. No fun, just gut wrenching fear.
