Found out today, that I have a friend who was admitted this morning. I'm not going to say which city/state he lives in, but he'd been suffering from high fever, vomiting, headaches, body aches, etc, since last week. Visited an urgent care at the beginning of the week, and he was diagnosed with an ear infection(?) and sent home w/ a script for an antibiotic.
Evidently, he bottomed out this morning. Presented at the ER with tachycardia, high fever, blood pressure all over the map, respiratory issues. CT showed obvious spots on his lungs. COVID test results will take a few days to verify, but he's been admitted, and placed in quarantine.
Super fit dude. Gym rat. Mid-Forties...and it's brought him to his knees.
Don't think it can't happen to you. Social distancing is a must.
