I will preface my remarks by admitting after the 2018 season I was expecting a BIG year from him in 2019. Secondly IDK the answer to my own question. He’s an enigma first and foremost IMO. He dose have a big arm. Is as tough as nails, has been lights out on several occasions. He also has been dreadful most of his career although to be fair a good portion of that time he had little chance because of our OL. But he has struggled throwing something as basic as a little swing pass to.He’s in the second year with the same OL for the first time this season and his OL will be a STRENGTH of the team.

He doesn’t have to be great for us to have a good year. He just needs to not turn the ball over and be reasonably consistent throwing the ball. If he plays well he can and probably do have a really good year. We all have our concerns but I can’t shake the feeling that playing behind a STRONG OL is a huge advantage for any QB and presents untold opportunities for a QB to not only play well but to play considerably better than he really is.

Can JG take advantage of this opportunity?
