I use to believe it was because of Chaney and Pittman. They have lost a lot of coaches the last couple of years and currently have a terrible OC, but keep pulling in top talent. Seems like no matter who is over there recruiting for them they land the best QBs the past 5 years. Chaney comes here and we are seen as a long shot for Brock and Pittman leaves and they still land 5 star OL. So no matter if they hired Will Friend they’d still pull 5 star OL or if they hired Mike Debord as OC they still would land the best QB.
What the heck is cooking over there? Don’t sell me on Georgia being a hotbed because they took barely anyone from their state this past recruiting cycle and landing everyone around the country. Don’t sell me winning because they have sniffed one championship in the last 10 or more years and haven’t won a natty since the 80s.
Other teams have accomplished more and not bringing in what they are. Every assistant coach they replace ends up looking like world class recruiters until they leave. Hmmmm$$$$??
