I'm gonna provide the short version of the background to this question.

Neighbors moved in about three years ago from Las Vegas. They are great people. As good of neighbors as you could ever ask for. They have a 17 year old daughter that goes to the school where my wife is the principal. She is just like them. Have trusted her to babysit our little one several times. Over the last four or so months she has gotten into her first serious relationship with a young man. Because of our positions in the county we know a lot about this kid. Simple fact is that he is a thug. Drug dealer, runs with the worst of the worst, currently attends our alternative school for multiple offenses, which is how I know about him. I try to give students the benefit of the doubt, but the fact is that he is not a good person. We know that she is already smoking pot with him. I know smoking pot is not the biggest of deals. Hey I went to college! But my wife and I are concerned that this could lead this young lady down a very wrong path. The guy does not try to hide his lifestyle either. It is all over his FB page. So we don't know how much our neighbors actually know about this kid.

Is this any of our business? Should we just stay out of it? Should we go talk to them and express our concern? Do we have an obligation as educators/friends/neighbors to let them know that this guy is bad news? If you were my neighbor, would you want me to tell you?
