Tennessee had the chance to correct 10 years of total BS by doing whatever they had to do, spending whatever they had to, to get a top notch, PROVEN and winning head coach. Instead they let Board politics, administration lackys and a host of other factors to screw this whole thing up. And don't think for one second that the joke that Tennessee football has become is not still suffering from all of the PR hits, the stupid moves and losing program it is now known for.
Maybe the program will come back...maybe it won't. Nothing is a given. We better hope CJP can truly coach because he is going to have to out-coach a lot of teams with better talent than what is on his sideline. I hope he is successful, but I am not sure Tennessee can get back to competing in the next decade. The mountain is too tall and the people involved just don't have the desire or brains to succeed. AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEY FANS IN ANY WAY!
