Since it's staying local, I'd like to see it given to the inner city elementary, middle, and high schools in Knoxville.
It's going to take a lot more money than what these jerseys will bring in, but it's been pointed out several times on here how bad the inner city schools are in Chattanooga. A good reform move I'd like to see made is to pump money into inner city schools around the country for more security. You never know who could be the next astronaut or Noble Peace Prize winner. Could the person who's been given the gift of finding the cure for cancer be in an inner city school right now in Chicago? There's no doubt many kids are robbed of the chance of getting a good education because of gangs in school causing a distraction that's keeping them from learning. If you have to, hire a school resource officer to monitor the class from the back of the room so the teacher can focus on what they're hired to do instead of breaking up fights. Have him or her take care of distractions that are keeping kids who want to learn from learning. Place security cameras in the classrooms and move these kids who cause trouble to alternative schools for the rest of the year.
These kids can learn the way they want, get scholarships, and be what they want to be after getting that college degree. This idea would be an expensive one, but the money from these jerseys could go toward something like it.
What would you like to see it spent on?
