It's cheaper, you are your own bartender so you can make the drinks as stiff as you want, you can watch sports in peace, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook until your heart is content and bang the wife/girlfriend/hooker after you call it a night. Or if you're like half this board, fire up the porn on the laptop in mom's basement.
