Why did we have the onside kick receiving setup at the end?

the announcer asked about it and seemed perplexed as well. Anyone know the logic behind that? Obviously it worked out, but only because Berry flew up and caught the ball on the run and fought off a couple tacklers. I can't figure out what Butch was thinking there.

Also, when we punted from like the 36 yard line. I really, really, REALLY wish Butch would stop playing so unbelievably conservative in those situations. Nobody likes that and, as it showed yesterday, playing "conservative" there is probably just as likely to turn out badly than being more aggressive. This is the way I look at it: in those situations you should do what the other team DOESN'T want you to do. If I'm on UGA's defense and UT punts there I probably laugh to myself and question why the other team would just give away the chance to get points and momentum early on. It's as if Butch has no confidence in our offense sometimes.

Staff apparently haven't learned the lessons of Oklahoma, Florida, and Bama last year (I believe it happened in all three games if I'm not mistaken) where we went super conservative on offense when picking up a first down would seal the game.

Some will counter by saying, "If Butch went aggressive and we got picked off you'd be screaming for his head." - um, no. We have had conservative play-calling in those situations for the past 25 years. I always hated it, and on the RARE occasion we have been aggressive in such situations but it hasn't worked, I didn't get down on the staff - I simply respected the call and chalked it up to just not being in the cards for us. I'm sorry but you gotta coach with more confidence when you have talent like Hurd, Kamara, Malone, Jennings, PWilliams, Byrd, Wolf, Dobbs, etc. The bottom line for me in those situations is that you so rarely see great coaches be so ultra-conservative.

I love the team and the job Butch has done to get us back, especially recruiting. But it seems like EVERY game the staff does at least two or things that just make no sense whatsoever.

Im having a hard time being as excited as I should be about being 5-0. I am still bothered by how poorly we have played in the first halves of each game.

If you think about it, we should be significantly better than last year's team, but we're not. We have gotten some huge breaks, which doesn't completely undermine the fact that we are 5-0, but it feels like our luck is going to run out and we could very easily end up screwing up majorly against a team like South Carolina.

This is the most talent we have had since probably 2001. I would just like to see us play better and more consistently. I am excited we are 5-0, but still have some major concerns with the coaching.

Now. Feel free to tell me how big of a douchebag b*tch I am.
