as a way to justify one way or another a hire. It's usually used in a negative way but occasionally in a positive way,like the average fan on message boards has a clue. It's almost like posters will quote these fans of other schools as a definitive authority.How many fans are ever postive about their school? To me, if you actually pay attention, it's human nature for most people to complain or be negative about things. Fans of other schools are the last opinion I would take seriously. I always just thought it was weird to use other boards fans as a way to prove that a hire was a bad one.
