Why does Woody argue back and forth with every comment made about him?

My entire newsfeed is taken up by worthless Woody comments. I don't even like or dislike him like many of you do. I just want him to stop arguing with every little thing and feeding the trolls constantly. Imagine if @Brent_Hubbs or @P_Fortenberry acted this way. Professionalism at an all time low.
