Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian in Vegas. For a long time now they’ve been serving a Japanese wagyu filet. It is absolutely the best and most flavorful cut of meat on the planet.
Last night my wife and I went there for dinner and saw that they’d tweaked their menu. Now it says:
“100% JAPANESE WAGYU 6oz filet mignon, grilled trumpet mushroom, black garlic red wine reduction”
I simply cannot understand destroying a perfect steak by putting a sauce on it. We ordered the sauce on the side just to see, and it totally overwhelms the rich flavor of the meat. It’s ridiculous!
Why would anyone think that’s a good idea?
