Bama gave up 250 yards rushing to Florida. Emory Jones was really efficient in the passing game being 21 of 29.

Bama gave up 41 points to A&M with a back up QB.

It is an average Alabama defense for their standards and probably just a solid SEC defense overall.

Ole Miss couldn’t run the ball at all against Bama. Averaged 2.3 yards per carry. Coral passed for 213 yards.

Ole Miss fumbled the ball one time. No INTs. It wasn’t turnovers they just couldn’t do anything. That isn’t an elite Alabama defense.

Interesting to think about.

I am one of the people that view Arkansas as more of an average team than a really good one. They beat Texas at home who I also think is average. They then beat A&M at home when the back up QB first got his start and was a liability. I think Arkansas is remarkably overrated and they got exposed by UGA and Ole Miss as not being very talented. Arky got hype early because of 2 home wins over teams that had a nice ranking but certainly weren’t ranked appropriately.

Everyone is talking about 50 points this and that. I wouldn’t be surprised if we held them to the 30s. I think they are good offensively but the Bama game kind of had me pump the brakes on them being elite when they essentially got shut out outside of 2 garbage TDs when Alabama has a solid defense at best so far this year if you take away the mid major type games from Bama’s stats.

Feel free to Tell me how wrong I am.
