I don;t post much but with one day to go and all the hope we have as fans this year and after ready Brent's peice I had to share this, Dec. 31st 2013 I lost my dad, a man who never played sports, worked hard all his life and Loved the Lord, and he also had a deep love for the BIG ORANGE. He was passionate about it. I still remember all those Saturdays and John Ward on the radio, no matter what we were working on there was a long break for the radio broadcast, the words IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE is still hear loud and clear. In 1974 my first game at Neyland was Condredge Holloway and the UCLA tie. UT Football is not just a sport and I'm not just a fan, it's something way beyond that, it runs deep in our veins, it's part of who we are.
Pop said (at 84) he did not know if he would live long enough to see his VOLS back again, but after the 2013 season he said to me son I think we got us a football coach, and he was right on both. Pop is with the LORD but tomorrow his ORANGE BLOOD WILL BE RUNNIG THRU MY VEINS..... GO VOLS...
