The whole family met yesterday for brunch, with quite a few people in the group. As the meal was ending, I motioned to our server handed him my credit card and told him to discreetly pay the entire check with 20% tip. When we were all ready to leave, the husband of one of my nieces asked our server for a check. He was told that it had been taken care of, which prompted thanks from all there. I told them that was just a little Christmas gift and I was very glad that everyone enjoyed it. When we got to the car, my wife let me have it. Stuff like, these kids need to learn how to pay their way and "you do this way to often". I am spoiling them etc.etc. Pissed me off and I think she was wrong.
