Year one as Oklahoma OC:
WR1: Ryan Broyles 1150 yards 10 TD 83 rec
WR2/Slot: Kenny stills 850 yards 8 TD 61 rec
WR3: Jaz Reynolds 715 yd 5 TD 41 rec
WR4: James Hanna 380 yd 2 TD 27 rec
RBs combined: 553 yd 0 TDs, 67 rec
Year two OU OC:
WR1/slot: Kenny stills 960 yd 11 TD 82 rec
WR2: Justin brown 880 yd 5 TD 73 rec
WR3: Jaylen Saunders 830 yd 3 TD 62 rec
WR4: Sterling Shepard 620 yd 3 TD 45 rec
Rbs combined: 771 yd 6 TDs 83 rec

WR1: -17% on yds, +10% on TDs, -1% on rec
WR2: +3.5% on yd, -37.5% on tds, +20% on rec
WR3: +16% on yd, -40% on TDs, +51% on rec
WR4: +63% on yd, +50% on TDs, +67% on rec
RBs combined: +39% on yd, +♾% on tds, +24% on rec

Observations:

• running backs were more involved and caught 6 more TD in year 2.
• the ball was distributed more evenly in year 2, as the WR1-WR4 range was 56 rec in year 1 & 37 rec in year two
• Ryan Broyles left after year 1, which could explain the more even distribution of the ball in year 2
• This is an offense where 4 receivers can have big years. When your WR4 has 45 rec, you’re getting shit done.

**i did not check who the tight end was, so one of them in each year is the tight end.
**WR1-4 based on # of times targeted for the purposes of this exercise

Tennessee WRs 2021:
Wr1: Cedric Tillman 64 rec, 1081 yd, 12 td
WR2/slot: velus Jones 62 rec, 807 yd, 7 td
WR3:Jalin Hyatt 21 Rex, 226 yd, 2 td
WR4: Javontae Payton 18 rec, 413 yd, 6 td
TEs combine: 34 Rec, 399 yd, 4 td
RBs combined: 20 rec, 183 yd, 1 td
** WR1-4 again is just in terms of # of targets

projected 2022 numbers based off percentages:
WR1: Tillman 63 rec 897 yd 13 td
WR2: Jalin Hyatt (replacing Jones) 74, 835, 4 td
WR3: Bru McCoy (replacing Payton but assuming he is third in receptions) 32 rec, 511 yd, 4 td
WR4: ??? (Replacing Hyatt but not third in receptions) 30 rec, 368 yd, 3 td
RBs combined: 25 rec, 254 yd, 7 td (up ♾ %)

number probably aren’t as relevant since Ryan broyles left OU after year one, but still interesting nonetheless.
