Hey all, just need some help/advice from some folks that have a better grasp of the game than myself. I've started playing golf more consistently the past few years. I bought a cheap set of Top-Flight clubs in 07' and and they've done the job as I previously only ever played to get out of work. However, now that I'm getting older and have started playing on my own time I would like to get a quality set of clubs. Unfortunately my knowledge of golf brands and equipment is lacking. I've done some research and asked around base, but I want to gather as much info as possible before I purchase anything. So here is a quick par 5 for you veterans.
1. What are the best brands of clubs?
2. Should I get a complete set from one company or mix and match irons/woods/wedges?
3. Should I be spending a GREAT deal more on any certain club such as my putter/driver?
4. What can I expect to spend on a new set?(not trying to break the bank here, would like to keep it all under a grand)
5. So that I don't end up wasting my investment, what's a practice/training tool you would recommend?
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds or even made it this far. If there's any questions in the thread I won't be able to answer until about 6 hrs from now. (military stationed in Japan and I'm hitting the sack)
