I have a family member who works at a medical school. She says that they are asking people including physicians to self-quarantine for 14 days if they have been on a cruise, traveled somewhere domestically where there has been an outbreak, or just returned from international travel.
I thought this was overkill...at least for all those that just traveled internationally. To me, anybody working in a hospital is more likely to test positive than someone who just returned from like a vacation to the Virgin Islands. Clearly, I would suggest someone quarantine if returning from Italy or Wuhan.
What say you? Should a physician or nurse returning from a Caribbean vacation self quarantine for two weeks or go back to work? How do we draw the line of what is too risky?
