Pitcher committed to UT from Sevier County.....guy is a beast (offensively too)

He is currently rated the #90 prospect by BA. Does anybody know what the chances are that he comes to UT? To what round would he have to slip in order for him to choose college over pro?

Honestly I think for pitchers going to college is a no brainer. It normally takes so long for pitchers to get to the big leagues that it basically comes to down to rather or not they'd rather spend 3 years in a shitty town in the middle of nowhere playing A ball or at an SEC program getting 10x the exposure they got in HS. In fact, most of the best pitchers in the MLB today all played college ball.

If he chooses UT then we could actually be a really, really good team next year considering we won't really lose any of our pitching staff.

Soto, Warren, Neely (our 3 weekend starters right now) will all be back, along with Reid and Vasquez who have shown a lot of potential....then we will bring back a future 1-3 round draft pick in Kyle Serrano, and then add Linginfelter and the other incoming freshmen and we will finally have a pitching staff that can compete at a high level in the SEC/NCAA
