My issue is this, you have Blackburn and Fulmer in your damn backyard and it takes you 7 months and counting to figure out who to hire?
The worry is Fulmer has never done the job before, the other part of the piece is some how he maneuvered things to get his name in contention for the job, the guy knows how to play the game and understands the political piece of it.
Here is the deal if you have someone in place that not everyone agrees on and they want to make a change at one of the major sports, there maybe a lot more push back from the power people. I would rather have someone that knows how to play that game and get what he wants from those people.
Fulmer is a lot more savvy and demanding of his people then most people know.
I am willing to bet Butch Jones is a lot better with the media under Fulmer then he is now, and can you imagine big recruiting weekends? You don't think Fulmer will be involved in that? A lot of of good with Fulmer, and a lot of question marks.
