Barnes and his staff did some serious work last spring, adding four players to the class in the late signing period.
Unfortunately only two of those guys is left, but Jonas Aidoo has a chance to be the best of the bunch and Zeigler has already made himself a fan favorite.
Zeigler’s addition last August wasn’t huge news. He was an intriguing pick up but no one could have imagined he’d have the kind of impact that he did as a true freshman.
Zeigler ended up being a guy who played 20+ minutes a game, was a solid double-digit scorer in SEC play and just a complete pest on the defensive end.
The New York native was a spark plug off the bench last year and will be the heart and soul of several more Tennessee teams before he’s done.
Aidoo was buried at the end of the Vols’ bench after he missed the majority of the preseason due to illness. When he got his chance though he quickly made an impact, especially on the defensive end. Aidoo has a chance to become one of the best rim protectors in college basketball and he could be an enormous ‘X factor’ for the Vols in this upcoming season.
If the former five-star takes a big step forward Tennessee will have a chance to once again compete for an SEC title.

Did Mashack transfer? I missed that. When did it happen?
