After that dismal performance last night there are some silver linings. First, of course, is we are a better team.

UK threw the kitchen sink at us pitching wise and do not have our depth. With 80 or so pitches their ace closer will be out for the series. That is huge. Our depth here should be a major asset and we have Dolly for relief, and Mabry hardly pitched at all.

In baseball this could mean nothing but wed are set up much better than KY and it is hard to see our bats so silent for the next two games.

Something I have noticed and wonder if anyone else on the board has too. We are great at jumping all over the staring pitchers and gettin the early leads, chasing the starter. Last night is only one example. But then a long reliever who has a high ERA comes in and pitches lights out. Certainly not aways the case, but too often. We see this in all sports where a team loses some of it's focus.

IMO we take the next two.
