Read another thread and wanted to throw up. Amazing how many people talk out their butt not knowing anything. Tony has this thing already built. Next years baseball team will be one of the most talented teams TN has ever fielded from a draft perspective. If you think what we lost in the draft means Vol Baseball is going to take a big step back you know nothing. Players on next years team that will be drafted when their time comes:
Burke
Moore
Reese Chapman
Alex Stanwhich
Zane
Ahuna
Dickey
Drew
Burns
Joyce
Dollander
Im missing other pitchers and this does not count players that could play their way into being drafted like Booker, Tears, Steenstra etc.. The ones up top though will all be drafted in the future. Many could have been right out of high-school. Our infield will be nasty with Ahuna, Zane, Moore, and Burke. I’m assuming Dickey as catcher but there is a couple catchers on the roster that could have good off seasons. Our starting pitching rotation will be best in the country. We picked up some other great pitchers as well and already have great bullpen guys. You want to know about our outfield?? Just read Ben’s article he posted yesterday on front page.
Next years team could be just as special. Does that equal same amount of wins? Who knows, but definitely will be in contention again.
