I love Rock & Roll. But the premise of a Hall of Fame is stupid. It’s a genre of music that had a finite life span. It essentially ended in the early 1990’s. A Hall of Fame should be for an institution that is ongoing and constantly produces new talent. Then someday, if an artist or band reach a certain level and have an ample amount of longevity, then the most elite are voted into a Hall of Fame. What the Rock & Roll HOF has essentially done is to vote in all of the participants that made any measurable level of success. They’ve watered down the entire honor by continuing to vote in bands year after year for the sake of $$. Although it’s fun to watch, it’s not a Hall of Fame.
