I’m probably starting this too early but this weekend has the potential to produce heavy snow and extreme cold across the deep south and Tennessee valley. Will fine tune this as it gets closer but mods have been showing this for several days now. A cold front will move through sometime Friday and a low pressure will form in the GOM and track south of Tennessee. Very cold air will be in place across Tennessee so as of now temps won’t be an issue. No details on location or snow totals but this has the makings of a major snow storm. After the storm passes the mods are showing extremely cold air moving in. Temps we haven’t seen in years. Will update as I need to and anyone who follows this feel free to update also.
