3: Florida St

Next you look at one loss teams. If you’re not in your conference championship you’re out.

Then look at head to head. Alabama lost to Texas.

4: Texas

It’s not the four best teams. But it’s the four that deserve to be there. If they’re not the four, why are we playing games to begin with?
