Football Column: Hendon Hooker is a Tennessee football legend – simple as that

The way that Hendon Hooker performed – and guided – the Tennessee football program over the past two seasons has made him a legend in Knoxville, and a true VFL.

He never got too high or too low. He just worked hard.

A column on a remarkable quarterback:

Let's See Now.......Vandy

Florida beats South Carolina 38-6, the Vols lose against South Carolina 63-38 and Vandy beats Florida 31-24. I guess that means the Vols are going to be boat raced and stomped by Vandy next Saturday. When that happens, all hell will be unleashed in Ktown. I'm quite elderly, but that defeat yesterday in Columbia was the worst football defeat in my lifetime. And the question is...what is Heupel going to do about it? New players, new coaches, or both?

Playoff Berth On The Line and 20 Plus Point Favorite

Heupel, Tim Banks, and Golesh failed their players and shit the bed.

Tim Banks, game plan and scheme makes me want to see Sal Sunseri back running our Defense .

Shane Beamer and his staff made our coaching staff look like a bunch of high school JV coaches. Beamer coach circles around Heupel tonight.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Tennessee team, so outcoached by any team that we’ve ever played . Just WOW.

Who knows maybe Vanderbilt schools us next weekend. I just know that I lost a lot of confidence in Heupel and his staff tonight. Misplace confidence?

What Next?

The Vols put up the worst performance in school history with everything on the line.

QB, Hendon Hooker is likely done with an injury.

You can talk about lack of talent in the secondary all you want, but Tim Banks put together the worst game plan that we have ever seen from a UT Defensive Coordinator. Sal Sunseri had much less talent than Banks has at his disposal.

Does the team recover and beat Vanderbilt?

Does Heupel retain Tim Banks at seasons end? I would be disappointed if he did.

This was a devastating loss for the program both on the field, in the locker room, in recruiting, in the media, and in fandom. It will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Why did the judge carry over our players case to the grand jury

The man was drunk, had a concussion, could not find his license that he gave to another policemen, and refused to leave the apartment. Our player had 2 other guest in his apartment one was his girl friend and the other was a UT player. Both said the intruder was drunk and refused to leave. Our player push him out and closed the door. The guy tried to come back in. Our player hit him and pushed him out again. This drunk needs charged and locked up. Clear case. The police knew he was drunk.
