The more I think about Saturday, the more I think this played out perfectly.

Take it on the chin and get the target off our backs while providing plenty of motivation for the stretch run. With a little help from anyone playing Oregon and TCU and some blowout wins over our last 3 opponents, we will be sitting pretty at #3. Not sure about you but I could use some Arizona sun around the new year.

Managing higher expectations

I feel like I failed the Vols on Saturday. I let my emotions and the ridiculous bar I set for the team get in way of reality. Right now, we have a great shot at 11-1 and a spot in the playoff, and that is WAY more than we ever thought possible this season. Now, we take one game at a time and try to beatdown Mizzou and let the chips fall where they may. If we win out and somehow end up in the Sugar Bowl, that would be an incredible season by any measure considering our recent past. Let's go, Vols!
